About Us
Michelle Pierson CMRS, CMCS
Michelle has worked for an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon since 1996.
She started in the office as his Receptionist and through the years has
worked to become the Referral Specialist and Insurance Credentialing
Liaison. In 2014, she became the Office Insurance Biller/Coder and
one year later the Office Manager as well. In 2017, Michelle completed
the CMRS course through AMBA and in 2020 the CMCS course.
Michelle has also been the co-chair for the East Chapter of the
Michigan Medical Billers Association since 2020.
Kristina Bowens, CMRS, DBCP
Kristina is a Dental Biller and Accounts Receivable Specialist at a
Michigan-based dental office. She has been in the dental field since
2012. She is an accomplished coder in cross coding dental codes to
medical. She graduated from Monroe County Community College in
2016 with her Associates Degree in Accounting and Finance. In 2019,
she took her CMRS exam and received a certificate as a Certified
Medical Reimbursement Specialist. She completed her DBCP (Dental
Business Certified Professional) in 2024. She is currently specializing
in Fee Negotiation for the dental practice and is excited to be able to
help offices maximize their revenues in so many different ways.
With 20+ years of experience between Michelle and Kristina, they
bring in-person experience and expertise in dental billing, medical
billing of dental procedures, contracting of dentists, fee negotiation
and more.
